The project is financed by the Program “Local development, poverty reduction and increasing inclusion of Roma”, EEA and Norwegian Grants 2014-2021, Open call for projects “Increasing inclusion and empowerment of Roma”, Round 2, Area 7 “Inclusion and empowerment of Roma “, grant administrator: Romanian Social Development Fund (FRDS): www.eeagrants.ro , www.frds.ro .

The main objective of the project is to increase the level of inclusion and empowerment of Roma people from Slobozia Bradului commune, Vrancea county and Grebănu commune, Buzău county.

The project, implemented in partnership with the Free Attitude Association benefits from a grant worth €830,490 offered by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants within the Local Development Program.

 

The project addresses a target group consisting of:
– 1200 people of Roma ethnicity (children, young people, adults) in situations of vulnerability, risk or facing various forms of socio-economic exclusion;
– 500 people of Roma ethnicity (adults, young people or children), especially women and young Roma with low levels of awareness regarding their rights and participation in community life;
– 100 Roma experts and leaders. Project duration: 24 months (2022 – 2024).

The project has the following activities dedicated to members of the target group:

  1. Support for obtaining identity documents
  2. Educational services for Roma people in vulnerable situations
  3. Employment services
  4. Health services
  5. Improvement of living conditions
  6. Training of staff and volunteers
  7. Activities and campaigns on information and raising awareness
  8. The inclusion and participation of Roma people in decision-making
  9. Development of anti-discrimination tools
  10. Conducting conferences to disseminate project results.
